District Development Commissioner G N Balwan reviewed the preparedness of different departments to provide necessary amenities to the people during the holy month of Ramzan in a meeting convened here today.SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir, ADC Kishori Lal, CPO, Yasir Balwan ACR, Tehsildar and other district officers of R&B, PHE, PDD, health, CA&PD, BSNL, Municipal, Fire Services, Food Safety besides representatives of various religious organisations and other prominent citizens attended the meeting.The DDC directed the PDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Sheri and Iftar while PHE was asked to ensure supply of safe and clean drinking water.CAPD was directed to ensure adequate supply of ration to avoid inconvenience to the people. The Municipal Authorities were asked to launch a cleanness drive in the town and make functional all the street lights so that people may not face any hardship while going for prayers.At the meeting various Market checking squads were constituted for strict check on approved market rates of chicken, mutton and other necessary items.DDC also directed the concerned for making foolproof arrangements, while the Fire and Emergency department was asked to remain alert to deal with any type of eventually.
