Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today condemned the murderous attack on Lt Gen Kuldeep Singh Brar in London on Sunday.Maintaining that his position on Operation Bluestar is too well known to everybody in or outside Punjab which he does not need to repeat, Capt Amarinder said, the attack on Gen Brar is highly condemnable and those guilty of it must be brought to book.In an informal conversation with reporters here today, he blamed the Chief Minister Parkash for creating such a situation, by establishing memorials like on to Operation Bluestar, which do not allow the old wounds to heal.Capt Amarinder pointed out, from the reports coming out from London the people who attacked Gen Brar were young and might not have even been born at the time of Operation Bluestar. They must have got provoked and inflamed by the provocative acts of Mr Badal by way of setting up a memorial to the Operation Bluestar.However, the PCC President pointed out, it is actually people like Badal who have been trying to perpetrate the memories by setting up the memorial to the Operation Bluestar as these will only reopen the old wounds people have long forgotten.Blaming Mr Badal for such incidents, he said, all his life he (Mr Badal) has indulged in just one thing to provoke people and inflame passions while hiding himself in government rest houses in the name of getting arrested.
