Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, today held a meeting to review the progress and status of land acquisition case of Kashmir division under Border Roads Organization (BRO) and said all the developmental projects should be completed on priority.Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Chief Engineer BRO, Additional Commissioner of Kupwara, Handwara and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.“There has to be a proper synergy for witnessing better results as far as the development of the State is concerned,” Dr. Samoon told officials present at a meeting of Railways, Border Roads Organization (BRO).The officials at the meeting were directed to identify bottlenecks in the process of completing the projects by the concerned agencies.The BRO officials discussed various issues pertaining to their projects in various north Kashmir districts. Chief Engineer, BRO informed the meeting that they were expediting their works in various districts.
Meanwhile, the Divisional Commissioner chaired another meeting regarding providing RUB at Byepass, Khanabal, Bijbehara and other towns (NHAI) for smooth and safe movement of Yatra traffic.Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, PD NHAI, NP RAMKY and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
He stressed the concerned officers to make the annual yatra smooth and safe. He directed them for immediate repairs of roads leading from Srinagar to Baltal and Khanabal to Qazigund besides filling the damaged road patches from Qazigund to Chandanwari.The Divisional Commissioner asked the allied departments to work with coordination and added zeal.
