The District Level Review committee/ District Consultative Committee meeting of Ganderbal District was held today here under the Chairmanship of Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ganderbal. The meeting was convened by J&K Bank which is also Lead Bank of the district.On the occasion, the Lead Bank District Manager briefed the meet about the achievements of the banks operating in the district under District Credit Plan 2015-16.It was given out that the banks in the district have disbursed a total amount of Rs 269.73 crore for establishment of 13109 units at the end of the Financial Year 2015-16 registering 55% achievement, out of which Rs 159.99 crore for establishment of 8910 units under priority sector registering achievement of 57% and Rs 109.74 crore for establishing of 4199 units under non-priority sector registering an achievement of 51%. Out of priority sector, Agriculture and allied activities registered 55%, MSE 88%, Education 33%, Housing 14% and others 43%. CD ratio of the district stands at 70%.The Chairman, ACR Ganderbal stressed upon both banks as well as sponsoring agencies to play their role in easing unemployment crisis of the district by achieving the set targets under various sectors for setting up income generating units. He also advised the financial institutions to sanction/disburse the cases strictly as per guide lines and in close co-ordination with sponsoring agencies. He advised NABARD/other concerned agencies for timely release of Subsidy/ Margin money. Among others representatives of RBI, NABARD, Director RSETI Ganderbal, officers of line departments and coordinators of banks operating in the district were present in the meeting.
