District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz, today convened a public grievances redressal camp at Banihal to take stock of public issues besides assessing progress on development works being executed in the area.The DDC was accompanied by SDM Banihal, Vikas Verma, ACD G.H. Kripak, Executive Engineers PDD, PWD, Habib Choudhary and Amar Singh Katoch, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Anwar Bhat, Chief Education Officer, Mohd Sharief, Tehsildar, Banihal Tanveer-Ul-Majid and other district and block level officers.The DDC directed the PDD authorities to ensure uninterrupted power supply especially during the holy month of Ramzan besides asking PHE officers to ensure regular drinking water supply in the area. He assured the public of Banihal that the construction work of community hall and toilet complex at Banihal would be started at the earliest.The CEO was directed to monitor the fee structure of private schools in the district besides rationalizing the teaching staff to meet the shortage of teacher in schools.During the camp, people from Nowgam, Tethar, Chareel, Lamber, Kaskoot, Chagloo, Gundadalkoot, Doligam, Chapnari, Ashar, Chachihal and adjoining villages projected their issues seeking an early redressal to the same.
