Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh today met several deputations who called on him and apprised him of the problems being faced by them.A deputation of people from Bani led by MLA Bani, Mr Jeevan Lal projected various issues confronting the hilly constituency.The Deputy Chief Minister assured them that he would take up the issues with the concerned Departments for their early redressal. He said that the Government is committed for holistic as well as need based development of rural and far flung areas and special schemes and programs have already been undertaken in various sectors like R&B, PDD, PHE, Health, RDD.A deputation of College Teachers Association led by Professor Tariq Ashai also called on the Deputy Chief Minister and apprised him about the various issues confronting them like Pay anomalies, release of UGC grade etc.Dr Singh assured them that he would take up these with the concerned Department so that these are redressed properly.MLA Zanskar Syed Bakir Rizvi also called on the Deputy Chief Minister and raised various issues of the Zanskar constituency like road connectivity, power, health related issues and demanded their early redressal.While interacting with the legislator, the Deputy Chief Minister assured him that the Government is committed to undertake the development of Zanskar and its adjoining areas. He said that several new initiatives are in pipeline for ensuring holistic development of these areas.
