“Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial Reignited Scholarship” for engineering aspirants was today launched by Aryans College of Engineering, Chandigarh. Sh. Srijan Pal Singh, Co-Author to Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function. Interested students can give a missed call on Aryans Toll free helpline 1800-30000-388 or visit www.aryans.edu.in for the registration before 15th June.Srijan Pal after the launch of the scholarship while addressing a press conference being organized today at Hotel Daawat, Mohali said that Aryans has emerged in the fastest growing chain of institutions of the region. Dr. Kalam had honoured the Group with “Excellence of Education” award in the year 2012 at Ranchi.The scholarship would help to empower underprivileged youth of the Nation through relevant and technical education, innovative ideas and market-focused livelihood programmes at Aryans. “I have personally visited the campus during the function “Kalam Aaj Aur Kal” organized by Aryans and interacted with the students where the spark in the students was evident. Such ignited minds motivated me to help more youth of the Nation under Kalam’s vision and any economic difficulty should not be a hindrance in their educational development” Srijan added. 

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group while giving more information said that this scholarship will be given to meritorious 50 girls and 50 boys in which 50% scholarship will be provided by Aryans and rest 50% will be financed in the shape of education loan.Kataria further added that in the year 2012, when (then) President of India, Late Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam honoured Aryans with "Excellence of Education" Award in Ranchi and motivated Aryans to help underprivileged youth of India in making their dreams of scientists & Engineers come true. “We are entering into 10th Year and now Aryans is in position to support the deserving youth of India.”Singh further announced that soon after the Board approval, Aryans would be linked with Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Center after which Students from all over the Country could be avail this Scholarship. The foundation work as a catalyst in bringing sustainable change in the lives of underprivileged children, youth and women, with a life-cycle approach of development.Replying to the media queries on youth, Punjab and Drugs, Srijan Pal further said that education is the only tool to bring youth out of the drug menace. He said that education is the best tool to eradicate social evils like drug abuse, poverty, unemployment and other social issues.
