Customers visiting Jammu and Kashmir Bank Branch Khag in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district Tuesday alleged that the Bank staff of the Branch treats them like beggars and frequently display highest degree of desrepect for the visiting customers in the Bank.A delegation from Khag area told CNS that keeping in view of the rude behavior of the clerical staff, one abhors to visit the Bank. “We are often being humiliated by the staff there particularly a clerk of the said branch,” the delegation said.One of the customers of the said branch said that he was humiliated by a clerk on Tuesday. “I had secured loan from the Bank under Kisan Credit Card. As I reached there to pay interest, the insolent and degraded behavior of a clerk not only shocked me but also the people present there. I was about to weep when an elderly man consoled me. I feel disgusted and dejected and appeal Bank authorities to take disciplinary action against the arrogant staff of the said Branch,” he said adding that it has become a routine for the Bank staff to humiliate every visiting customer. Branch Manager Bashir Ahmed said that there is customer friendly atmosphere in the Bank. He requested the customers to approach him in case they face any problem.Pertinently, account holders of Jammu and Kashmir Bank from length and breadth of Kashmir Valley accuse the Bank staff of displaying arrogant behaviour with the customers on daily basis.
