With an aim to boost the morale of students of government educational institutions, Minister for Industries and Commerce today felicitated the ‘meritorious’ students of government-run schools of Vijaypur constituency at his residence.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the students of government schools are showing good results and appealed to the all the students to work hard and bring laurels to their parents and institutions. ‘I am feeling very happy after felicitating the students of government schools who have performed well in the matriculation results recently announced by Jammu Kashmir Board of School Education’, he added.Ganga said the government-run schools in the State have highly qualified human resource, “once the students are motivated and encouraged properly, we will see the change in academic environment”. The Minister expressed his hope that in the coming years, the students of the government schools would be seen clinching top positions in the merit list.Expressing his satisfaction over the results shown by the girls in the examination, the Minister said that now the girls have taken over the command and are proving their mettle in every field. He also congratulated the teachers and parents of the students for their success.
Taking serious note of poor result shown by 2 government schools of the area, Ganga directed the CEO to initiate the enquiry to ascertain the reasons behind poor performance in the exam by the students.Various deputations also met the Minister and put forth their demands including inadequate power and drinking water supply, lane & drain works etc. The Minister assured the people for the early redressal of their demands and directed the PDD and PHE authorities to put their sincere efforts in providing them adequate supply of power and drinking water.Among others, CEO Samba O P Bhagat, ACD Samba Tilak Raj Thapa, XeN PDD Sanjiv Bhagat, XeN PHE Sarwan Singh, XeN PWD (R&B) Dinesh Rampal, concerned officers, students and parents.
