Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh today called on the Sikh preacher Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale here at Parmeshar Dwar and assured the latter of quick dispensation of justice after the detailed enquiry already instituted by the state government to thoroughly get into the bottom of the case.Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the CMO said that Mr. Badal remained with Baba Dhadrianwale for almost twenty five minutes, who apprised the Chief Minister about this unfortunate incident, which occurred on May 17. Mr. Badal informed him that the police have already nabbed eight persons allegedly involved in this incident so far. He categorically said that the law of the land would take his own course and all other culprits responsible for this dastardly act would soon also be brought to the book.

Later talking the media persons after meeting the Baba, the Chief Minister said that this dastardly act must be condemned by one and all in the strictest possible words.

Asked to comment on the progress of the enquiry in the said case, Mr. Badal said it would be absolutely unethical and improper to say something and make any observation especially in the capacity of Chief Minister, which might influence or hamper the enquiry at this crucial stage.

Replying to another query for demanding a special session on the law & order in Punjab Vidhan Sabha, the Chief Minister said that how it would serve any meaningful purpose when the state government was already seized of the matter. Without mincing any words, Mr. Badal reiterated his firm commitment to maintain law & order in the state as peace, communal harmony, amity and brotherhood was the top most agenda of his government.Mr. Badal while answering another question appealed to all the opposition parties to keep restraint over this sensitive issue, otherwise any irresponsible or unwarranted utterances meant for politicking could jeopardize the congenial atmosphere in the state. The Chief Minister accompanied by Cabinet Minister Mr. Surjit Singh Rakhra, Mayor Patiala Municipal Corporation Mr. Amarinder Singh Bajaj, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ramveer Singh, SSP Mr. GS Chauhan and IG Patiala Range Mr. Parmraj Singh Umranangal.
