Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today convened a joint meeting of State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) and representatives of private transporters to review stock position in Ladakh region.The Div Com directed the transport authorities to ensure fixed rates while carrying the essential commodities to the Ladakh region. He also instructed the authorities to provide better transport facilities for the region.The meeting was attended by Transport Commissioner, besides officers of Police, Traffic, SRTC, R&B, PWD and representatives of CA&PD and private transporters.On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Kargil briefed the Divisional Commissioner about the stock position. The Div Com was informed that adequate stock of essentials is available at various sale centres of the Ladakh region.During the meeting the Divisional Commissioner stressed for coordination among various departments so that people don’t have to face any inconvenience.
