The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon in presence of District Development Commissioner Budgam Mir Altaf Ahmed today inaugurated one day awareness cum orientation camp for Pashmina weavers at Wagoora Chadoora.The awareness camp was organized by a NGO which was also attended by a large number of locals.Speaking on the occasion the Div Com said that the Government will provide every possible support for making the industry employment oriented. He stressed for quality work and check on duplicate items. He said financial agencies have been already directed to envisage all possible support for the weavers.In his address the DDC Budgam said that the administration has already instituted process to provide every support to the pashmina-weavers.Responding to the grievances of the weavers, the DDC instructed the Banks and Concerned Financial Agencies to adhere to the stated credit policy in letter and spirit. He further directed them to furnish all details about credit facility availed and provided to the weavers within a stipulated time.
