Chairperson Jammu and Kashmir State Social Welfare Board (JKSSWB), Dr Nirmal Gupta today convened a meeting with representatives of different Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) who are affiliated with the JKSSWB.She asked the voluntary organizations to contribute in implementing of the schemes run by JKSSWB. She announced that Family Counseling Centre Schemes have been revised and the budged has also been enhanced to Rs 3.10 lakh from 1.92 lakh. Similarly the Ministry of Women and Child Development has also revised the budget of Rajiv Gandhi Creche Scheme from Rs 3532 to Rs 11370 per Creche per month.
Dr. Nirmal appealed the Voluntary Organizations to run the schemes as per the norms and keep all records pertaining to schemes open for inspection as and when asked. She desired that the NGOs should evolve innovative methods to make their NGO’s viable.The representatives of different NGOs while interacting informed the chairperson about the problems faced by them.The Chairperson clarified several queries raised by the different NGOs. Earlier, Executive Director and Secretary JKSSWB, Aamir Ali presented the welcome address and asked the NGOs to work with dedication and zeal so that the benefits of these schemes can reach the deserving people of the Jammu and Kashmir State.
