The historical Pratap Park will be thrown open with upgraded infrastructure and facilitation in the current month in the interest of public and for the tourists visiting the Lal Chowk and its adjacent localities and tourist places Abiguzzar, Regal Chowk and press colony.On the instructions of Chief Minister, the Secretary Tourism/Floriculture, Farooq A shah accompanied by Director Tourism Kashmir, Mehmood A shah and Director Floriculture Talat Parvez reviewed the ongoing work on the said park and directed the officers to complete the up gradation work so that the park will be open for public in the current month.The secretary along with his team of officers reviewed the ongoing work of Kashmir golf course which is to be made state of the art international standard Golf course supported by JK bank, for which the work on greens has started on the directions of then CM Mufti Muhammad Sayeed and recent follow up by the CM Mehbooba Mufti.The secretary was briefed about the engagement of one international level expert to turn the said course into state of the art Golf course while maintaining its heritage and historical value being one of the oldest.The secretary was accompanied by JK Bank representative Parvez Ahmed Nengroo and Director Tourism Kashmir Mehmood A shah said that the club house and other allied facilities will be upgraded to international class on the instructions of CM Mehbooba Mufti who is keen to see this heritage preserved and upgraded and added that the said course will be operational in May 2017.
