In connection with upcoming Mela Kheer Bhawani, to be celebrated on June 12, 2016, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal today reviewed arrangements being made for the smooth conduct of the event.DDC directed all the concerned officers to ensure that appropriate arrangements are put in place for the smooth conduct of the Kheer Bhawani Mela, so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience.The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the officers to be proactive and make every effort for smooth conduct of the Mela Kheer Bhawani as thousands of devotees from within and outside the State are expected to join the festival.The DDC was briefed about the preparedness of the district administration for the upcoming Mela and was told that a foolproof mechanism would be in place to ensure that the devotees get all necessary facilities for performing religious rituals.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal and Officers of R&B, PHE, PDD, Revenue, Police, Municipal Committee, Health, Fire and Emergency Services and other departments.
