Stone-pelting clashes between youth and government forces erupted in Saraf Kadal area of Old City after Friday prayers.According to GNS correspondent, scores of youth assembled at Saraf Kadal after Friday prayers and chanted pro-freedom, pro-Islam and anti-India slogans. The youths also raised slogans in favour of militants and their outfits including ISIS, LeT and JeM.Reports informed GNS that the youths later resorted to heavy stone-pelting on police and paramilitary CRPF who retaliated by firing scores of teargas shells. The youths however were not relented by teargas and they continued pelting rocks on forces.Reports said that the clashes later spread to Rajouri Kadal. An official told GNS that it was after long time that there was no stone pelting around Jamia Masjid after Friday prayers and area remained calm. (GNS)
