Prior to this, noted Islamic scholars and Ulemas like Imam Haram Sheikh Abdullah Asabeel, the present Rehbar Aala of Iran, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, former Vice Chancellor of the Dar-ul-Aloom Deobond, Qari Muhammad Taib, internationally-acclaimed religious scholars Allama Ali Mian Nadvi, Moulana Anzar Shah Kashmiri and Dr. Zakir Naik also have visited Jamia Masjid Srinagar from time-to-time.In his addresses, which was attended by the Mirwaiz, the Anjuman-e-Auqaf office bearers and thousands of Kashmiri Muslims, Sheikh Hussain Yee said for overcoming problems faced by Muslims throughout the world these days, the only way is to believe in the Almighty Allah, have piety and devoutness and fear his wrath.

Urging Muslims to find the resolution of their own problems, Yee said if Muslims follow the true path that leads to Allah and follow the Quranic teachings in letter and spirit, their problems would get resolved on their own.Commenting on the situation in which Kashmiris were caught, he said when this nation would keep its faith in the Almighty Allah and remain steadfast toward their goal, victory would touch their feet.On the occasion, the Mirwaiz in detail explained the thought-provoking speeches of the internationally-acclaimed Ulemas and scholars which they delivered in English language to the people.Expressing his gratitude to the guests on coming to Kashmir, the Mirwaiz condemned the State government’s restrictions on the renowned Islamic scholars on participating in the religious programme. He said it was unfortunate that the state government put curbs on many Islamic scholars and barred them from participating in this religious programme by not providing visas to many of them.

Terming the present situation of the Muslim Ummah as a matter of concern for all Muslims, the Mirwaiz said it was the duty and responsibility of the Ulemas and religious preachers not only to guide the Muslim political leadership but also teach and guide the Ummah in order to address all the prevailing problems and difficulties faced by the Ummah. He said Islam is not against any community or any religion, it is the religion that teaches Muslims to follow the true path that leads to Allah, also preaches Muslims to perform their responsibilities toward their political, social and societal rights in accordance with the Islamic values. In his Friday congregational address, the Mirwaiz said the pulpit of Jamia Masjid Srinagar has been raising the voice for the legitimate rights of the people and despite facing curbs and restrictions, this historic platform had been performing its duty and responsibility towards this cause.Amid pro-Islamic slogans, the Mirwaiz said Kashmris were firm in their resolve to safeguard the sacrifices of their people and the state aggression has neither weakened the courage of the people in the past nor would this tactics succeed in the future.Earlier, the guests attended the breakfast at Mirwaiz’s residence where they had a threadbare discussion on the prevailing issues the Muslims Ummah was facing and exchanged viewpoints on the present political situation of Jammu and Kashmir. The Mirwaiz apprised the guests about the state’s aggression and curbs placed on the activities of the resistance and religious leaders of Kashmir.
