The Education Minister, Punjab, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema today disclosed that next phase of ‘Mukh Mantri Vigyan Yatra’ would begin from 16 May under which 33000 students per month would be taken to the tour of Pushpa Gujral Science City Kapurthala every month.At a meeting with the senior officials of the department here at Punjab Civil Secretariat, Dr. Cheema said that a bus from each district would go to the science city under ‘Mukh Mantri Vigyan Yatra’.While reviewing the recruitment process during the meeting, Dr. Cheema instructed that due process be completed and appointment letters should be issued to the new teachers by 31st May.
He also said that total 6557 appointments would be done out of which 650 lecturers, 940 master cadre teachers, 123 DPEs, 244 PTIs, 100 Art and Craft teachers and 4500 ETT teachers would be given appointment letters. He also gave instructions to complete the promotion process during the present month.Prominent among others who were present in the meeting included Mr. G Vajralingam, Principal Secretary, Mr. Balbir Sngh Dhol, DPI (Secondary Education), Mr. Janak Raj Mehrok, Secretary, Punjab School Education Board, Mohali, Mr. Sukdev Singh Kahlon, Director, SCERT, Mr. Karamjit Singh, Deputy Director, Dr. Ginni Duggal, Deputy Director and Mrs. Neelima Jairath, Director General, Pushpa Gujral Science City Kapurthala.
