Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali condoled demise of Congress leader and former Minister Dr Romesh Chander Sharma who passed away today after a long illness. Zulfkar along with MLC Surinder Chowdhary visited home of former Minister at Nowshera and expressed condolences and deep sympathies with the bereaved family .Pertinent to mention here that Dr. Romesh Chander Sharma was the son of veteran Congress leader Master Beli Ram who remained MLA Nowshera for 29 long years and a minister for 10 years. Dr. Ramesh Chander Sharma was elected MLA from Nowshera constituency in 2002 and became Minister in PDP- Congress coalition government. He said that on behalf of state government he is expressing condolence to the family members.Dr Romesh was under treatment at New Delhi where he breathed his last today morning. The body is being brought to Nowshera in Rajouri district for last rites.Before joining politics Romesh Sharma was working as Medical Officer.
