Vice Chairman J&K Kisan Advisory Board for Development of Kisans Daljit Singh Chib today met a deputation led By Shri Rajinder Singh, President Kisan Morcha and Sunil Dutt Sharma General Secretary and other prominent progressive farmers like Kisturi Lal, Ajit Singh. The Director Agriculture Jammu Dr. S. S. Jamwal was also present in the meeting.Mr. Chib advised the deputation to take maximum benefits of the various farmer friendly schemes launched by the Agriculture Department and the Central government and use the latest agriculture technologies for boosting their crop production.The president of Kisan Morcha said that lot of damage has been done to the Garlic and requested to sent a team of experts to take preventive measures.
They also stressed that best quality seeds should be made available to the farmers in time so that make best use of the same.The Director Agriculture impressed upon the deputation to use latest and innovative methods of agricultural techniques so they can get good results. The Director assured them that already hybrid and good quality seeds are available to the farmers.The president of Kisan Mocha has requested that the Ranjan lift irrigation supply should fulfill the huge demand of the farmers without any disruption.Mr Chib assured the deputation that the farmers will get good supply of irrigation water and said he has already passed on the directions in this regard. The de-silting has already been done.Lastly the President Kisan Morcha requested the Vice Chairman for conducting a Kisan Mela in that area so that the farmers will get boosted with the innovative Agricultural Technology.
