The aspirants who were shortlisted by the authorities in Baramulla district seeking job in different departments are up in arms against the district administration for maintaining ‘irrational’ delay in the release of final selection list of candidates’ for class fourth employees, despite court orders.The candidates told KNS that the administration has miserably failed to look into the hardships of the aspirants who are awaiting their final selection list.They said that the some of the candidates who were not selected went to the court and stayed the recruitment process. “The publication to recruit almost 207 candidates in different departments were declared by the government in 2006 while the interview was taken in 2007 but since then the final selections list is yet to be declared,” the aspirants said.Aspirants said that the court also directed the administration in the year 2015 to declare the final selection list of the aspirants in 4 weeks. However, the administration flouts the court orders as they are yet to declare the list.
The candidates while demanding the selection list said that they are facing tremendous hardships due to the delay in publicizing the selection list of the candidates. “We are currently unemployed and have no source to earn bread. We are desperately waiting for the selection list so that the hardships faced by us would end,” they said.The then government in 2006 announced 207 class fourth posts in different departments including Public Health Engineering (PHE), Irrigation and Flood control department, forest department, education department and rural developments department.Nonetheless, the aspirants said that after passing eight years since the announcement was made to public, the authorities are yet to release the selection list of the candidates.The aspirants later appealed higher ups to look into the matter and redress their genuine demands at earliest.
