The Director General, Information & Public Relations, Mr Zaffar Ahmad Bhat today retired from government service after putting in 32 years of distinguished career.He headed the Information Department four times.Respected for his integrity and dedication, Mr. Zaffar has been a recipient of Chief Minister’s Gold Medal for honesty and integrity. He has served the State distinctively as Commissioner Commercial Taxes, Secretary Tourism, Excise Commissioner, Special Secretary in Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Director Handicrafts and Special Secretary in Governor’s Secretariat and.Earlier, the officers and officials of the Information Department bid an emotional farewell to Mr. Zaffar and recalled his contribution in resolving the problems of employees.
