Director General of Police, Prisons Dr. S.P.Vaid accompanied by Deputy Inspector General of Prisons, Dr. Mohammad Sultan Lone visited District Jail Kathua and took stock of the infrastructural facilities there.Dr. Vaid also discussed various important issues pertaining to welfare of Prisoners and stressed on introducing skill development programmes for prisoners with Superintendent District Jail Kathua, Bushan Lal Bali.Later, DGP also visited Sub Jail Hiranagar and reviewed the overall security scenario . He also interacted with the prisoners and assessed basic facilities being provided to them. He directed the jail authorities for starting vocational programmes for the Jail inmates for their reformation and rehabilitation.Dy. Inspector General of Prisons, Dr. Mohd Sultan Lone, Jail Superintendent Lazar Kandayaray, Commanding officer CRPF Minimol, along with other officers/officials were also present.
