GGS-Sachdeva Group of Educational institutes, Kharar/Gharaun, today organised Freshers party “Rendezvous 2012- A Cultural Extravaganza”, comprising of power-packed performances in its campus. The theme of the party was "Creating an Anti Raging environment among new students”. Around 1000 students of B.Tech, MBA, MCA attended the party. Diljit was adjudged Mr. Fresher, Ummar was made Mr. Personality. Similarly, Deepika was adjudged as Miss Fresher, Ravneet got Miss Charming award.The function started with Shabad by Daljit & Inderjeet. After wards, students performed various highly entertaining cultural activities. The guests were given an exceptional welcome where Himachali dance & Flute Performance by Manjeskar were staged in context of Cultural Performance. Foot tapping Salsa by Darpan & Group, Solo Dance by Daljit & Couple Dance Choreography by Anjali & Group brought everybody to their toes. Apart from this, as per the tradition of GGS-Sachdeva Group, Bhangra by Avtar & Group & Giddha by Navdeep & Group were the main attraction of celebration. On the other hand Comedy Skits, Shayri & Gazals also allured the crowd. The viewers were on their feet once again with “Jindwa” a Punjabi Group Dance performance by Jatin & Group. There was audience interaction session where the students imitated their respective faculties.GGS-Sachdeva Group, Chairman, Brijpal Singh Sachdeva inaugurated the party by lighting the ceremonial lamp and conveyed their best wishes to the students and wished them a bright future. He further added that the very purpose of Freshers party is to welcome newcomers in a friendly atmosphere and avoid social evils, to encourage their creative impulses to boost their confidence. He further added that extra-curricular activities are integral part of education and provide a platform to the students to demonstrate their hidden creativity and nurture their talent. He encouraged the students to strive hard to bring laurels not only for the college but at the international level. He also motivated them to demonstrate their true colors in the academic porch as well.
