Congress has asked the PDP Led Govt to stop playing politics on Handwara Killings and demanded punishment to guilty, as that will only be a great justice to the deceased persons and their families.The Party while accusing State Govt for being insensitive to the safety of people, asked it to explain its failure to people, as to why the situation was allowed to go out of Control resulting into loss of many precious lives, which is very unfortunate and highly condemnable.Blaming the Govt for the volatile situation in the backdrop of the Handwara incidents, the Party has said that PDP Led Govt has miserably failed to contain the situation. Many precious lives were lost and the Party (Congress) cannot remain as a mute spectator to such type unfortunate incidents and innocent killings. The Party will continue to fight against the barbarism, killings and expose the State Govt for its failure on account of ensuing safety of common people.

Asking PDP BJP Coalition Govt to explain to the people as to why the situation was not brought under control, immediately, in Handwara, had there been a proper mechanism to deal with the protestors, the loss of precious lives could have been avoided, they said.Referring to the Statement of mother of Handwara girl, Congress Leaders said that it should work as an eye opener for the State Govt and emphasized the need for early completion of probe, so that the culprits, whosoever may be, brought to the book and punished, as per law.Congress Leaders MLA General Secretary PCC Usman Majeed, Farooq Andrabi, G. N. Mir Lasjan, Ab. Gani Khan Irfan Naqib, Abid Kashmiri, Haroon Rashid, Ab. Rehman Reshi, Bilal Ahmed Kongwani and other leaders accused State Govt for preventing Congress march to Handwara and sought clarity from the Govt, as to why the Opposition was not allowed to visit Handwara.
