Students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh today organized a rally to create awareness among masses and to encourage girl students of the region to come forward for their higher education.Hundreds of girl students at Aryans of various courses like B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Com, BA, GNM, +1 and polytechnic Diploma etc today participated in this campaign under which a flash mob dance was organized on the campus and surrounding villages.Dr. Anshu Kataria while appreciating the initiative taken by the students of Aryans said that apart from this awareness campaign, Aryans would also adopt 50 meritorious girls of the region in which 50% of scholarship will be provided by the college and rest 50% will be financed in shape of Education Loan. Dr. Kataria further said that the awareness rally would not only motivate the girl students to come forward but also ensure survival and protection, empowerment and create an enabling environment for bringing about social change regarding equality too.Prof B.S. Sidhu while speaking on the occasion said that girls are doing well in sports, education, health sectors and agriculture but the ratio is very less in technical courses due to their less interest, High fee structure. The campaign will encourage girls to explore their potential in engineering and technology fields with lesser fee structure at Aryans.
