Syed Ali Geelani condemns detention of Hurriyat leaders

Reiterates his protest call after Friday prayers

Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani strongly condemned the crackdown of PDP led government on pro freedom leaders wherein several leaders either has been placed under house arrest or behind the bars in various police stations.Those Leaders who have been under detention among Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Shabir Ahmed Shah, Mohammad Yaseen Malik, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Raja Mehraj Din, Mohammad Ashraf laya, Mohammad Yousuf Falahi, Syed Mohammad Andrabi, Fayaz Ahmed Das and Ashiq Hussain. Terming imposition of curfew in Srinagar and Handwara and detaining dozens of people and vandalizing Masjids and residential houses is a worst kind of state terrorism. He said on one hand Indian occupational forces killing our youth on daily basis and on the other hand not allowing us to condole to our brave hearts. 

Syed Ali Geelani appealed human rights organizations across the globe and amnesty international in particular to take a serious note of this state sponsored terrorism.In addition, he strongly castigated the biased role of world community and other human rights champions not uttering a single word or condemnation of Indian brutalities on oppressed Kashmiri’s which is unfortunate part. He said had the same incident occurred in any other part of world barring Muslim majority state or country there would have been hue and cry from every corner.He said such bogus and biased approach towards Muslims is highly condemnable and inhuman in every aspect and they have no right to claim the champions as far as human values are concern.

Meanwhile, reiterating his protest call after Friday prayers across the Kashmir and taking pledge to carry forward this noble mission till its logical end Syed Ali Geelani said we have no other choice than to show our commitment and strong resolve that we will never surrender in front of Indian brutalities and massacres. We have to show that our fight will continue till the last Indian soldier presence in our land come what may.Moreover, Chairman Syed Ali Geelani strongly condemn the shifting of Tehreek Hurriyat worker Ab Hamid Parray (Hajan) from police station to unknown location and barring his parents about his whereabouts is inhuman act and pressing for his immediate release, he said.
