Chairman, J&K Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali has expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of Kargil to the Chief Minister, Ms Mehbooba Mufti for taking up the issue of implementation of Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) in Kargil Town with Union Minister for Urban Development, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu.During her recent visit to the National Capital, Ms Mehbooba Mufti had met Mr Venkaiah Naidu, and discussed with him several proposals for upgradation of civic facilities in cities and towns in Jammu and Kashmir.She had pitched for inclusion of both Capital Cities of Srinagar and Jammu as smart cities in ‘Smart Cities Mission’ and bringing Kargil town under the ambit of AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation).Haji Anayat Ali said that intervention of the Chief Minister will help expedite the development of Kargil Town and ensure that both the State and Centrally Sponsored Schemes are implemented on ground for the benefit of the people.Meanwhile, Haji Anayat Ali also requested the Chief Minister to grant her kind approval to the Master Plan of Kargil Town which stands already submitted to the Government.
