In order to promote Urdu language, a meeting of district level officers was convened by the District Development Commissioner Bandipora Sajad Hussain today.During the meeting various issues related to the subject were deliberated and it was enjoined upon the officers to strictly adhere the instructions issued for the promotion of Urdu. The meeting was informed that a monitoring committee headed by DDC Bandipora has been framed in the district so that the use of Urdu is ensured in colleges, schools, hospitals and other institutions in the district.The DDC during the meeting stressed for organizing awareness programmes and seminars in educational institutions so that the people are made aware about the importance of use of Urdu language.Among others, ACR Bandipora, CEO Bandipora, CMO Bandipora and the officers of other departments were present in the meeting.
