Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Social Welfare ,Health & Medical Education Ms Asiea Naqash stressed upon the concerned to chalk out effective plan for providing affordable housing facilities to the weaker section.The Minister was speaking during a meeting convened to review the functioning of Housing and Urban Development department here today.She exhorted that projects should be envisaged to cater to the holistic developmental needs of the people and ensure optimal utilization of the resources.While apprising the Minister about the physical and financial achievements registered by the department, Vice Chairman JDA Mubarak Singh said that works are apace on the Commercial complex at Muthi which is coming at a cost of Rs 18.17 crore while 67 stalls in the Vegetable market at Muthi have been auctioned, which generated a revenue of Rs 3.96 crore for the department.The chair was also informed about the Multi tier parking at general bus stand Jammu coming up at a cost of 201.68 crore.While appreciated the initiatives taken by the department for providing better facilities to the people, the minister stressed on completing the projects within the stipulated time frame.
