Chandigarh Group of Colleges Jhanjeri organized International Conference under the title Srijan-16. The theme of the conference was Digital India Stimulating India’s Growth under Uncertainties & Challenging Environmental Issues. The conference was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Buta Singh, Dean Academics PTU. The Key note Speaker of the Conference was Dr. S.P.Bansal, Vice Chancellor, Maharaja Agrasen University, Baddi, Dr. Mikael Belay, Professor Addis Abbaba University, Ethiopia, Mr. Degu Setaegn, Professor, Dilla University, Ethiopia and G.S.Batra, Head SOM, Punjabi University, were the Guests of Honor.Dr. S.P.Bansal gave information about E-Business, its importance as well as dependence on Technology. He discussed the pros & cons of Hi-Technology and advised the students to focus on Hi-Tech and Quality Education. He stressed on best minds, right attitude instead of best things growth of the country.
According to him instead of following China India should develop our own strategy to outsmart China and become a manufacturing hub of the world.Mr. Degu Setaegn discussed the role of manufacturing in the employment generation in a developing economy. He stressed on skill development and explained the Industrial policy of Ethiopia.Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu informed about the right Utilization of technology and highlighted the effective role of the teachers for inculcating the Basic Human Values through Self-Actualization.
