Governor N. N. Vohra, who is Chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board visited Reasi today and dedicated the Renovated Mahadev Temple Complex and yatri  Facilities to the people of Reasi.The Governor had a round of the Temple Complex and inspected the facilities created by the Shrine Board for the Yatris.Well over a decade ago the ShrineBoard had taken up the restoration work of Mahadev Temple and construction of facilities for the devotees. Besides restoration of the main Temple, a Yagyashalla, Langar Hall, Dormitory, Kitchen and Public Conveniences have been constructed in the complex at a cost of Rs. 1.70 crore. In addition to undertaking landscaping of the Temple Complex, shrubs and ornamental plants have been planted alongside the boundary wall and old trees have been scientifically pruned and reshaped to add to the aesthetics of the complex.

Later, the Governor visited the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and prayed for peace, harmony and prosperity of the State.During his visit to Reasi and the Bhavan the Governor was accompanied by Members of the Board Dr. S. S. Bloeria, Mr. H. L. Maini, Dr. Ashok Bhan and Maj. Gen. (Retd) Shiv Kumar Sharma;Mr. B. B. Vyas, Financial Commissioner, Planning and Development and ex-CEO of the Shrine Board; Mr. P. K. Tripathi, Principal Secretary to the Governor; and Mr. Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. Earlier on arrival at Reasi helipad, the Governor was received by Mrs. Sushma Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner Reasi; Mr. Sujit Kumar,Superintendent of Police, Reasi; Brigadier S.V Bhaskar, Dy GoC of Uniform Force Hqrs; and other officers of the district administration and the Shrine Board.
