Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti,  Thursday interacted with the women staffers of the Civil Secretariat and urged them to support her endeavour in making J&K one of the best administered states in the country.The Chief Minister said she was pleasantly surprised to see the large number of women employees working in the Secretariat. “I am always accessible and doors of my office will remain open for you,” she said, while assuring the women staffers of her support in mitigating their problems.On the request of the female employees, the Chief Minister issued directions for establishing a Grievance Cell in the Secretariat which will exclusively deal with the complaints registered by women, expediting all cases related to sanction of childcare leave, better maintenance and improvement of women lavatory blocks and prioritizing allotment cases of government accommodation.The women staffers expressed gratitude to Mehbooba Mufti for her kind gesture in organizing the get together soon after assuming the charge of the Chief Minister.Minister of State for H&UDD, H&ME and Social Welfare, Asiea Naqash, Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Tourism, Culture and Horticulture, Priya Sethi, Commissioner/Secretary, Higher Education, Sarita Chauhan, Secretary, Labour & Employment, Nirmal Sharma, Commissioner of Enquiries, Dilshada Khan, besides several other senior women officers and officials were present on the occasion.The Chief Minister later shared a cup of tea with all the women staffers.
