In wake of inclement weather, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone today convened a meeting to review the preparedness / arrangements to deal with water logging caused due to incessant rains.Senior officers from Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Mechanical Engineering Department, Public Works Department UEED, Drainage, Fire and Emergency Services were present in the meeting and it was given out that departments have made all necessary arrangements to meet any eventuality in case of heavy rain fall, besides they have kept their men and machinery ready for dewatering water logged areas.The Deputy Commissioner directed all the concerned Departments to ensure timely dewatering in the water logged areas of Srinagar City.
