Punjab Government is all set to launch various citizen centric schemes in the month of April by organizing State Level Functions. Schedule has been prepared as per which on April 11 state level functions would be organized in each district to kick start the campaign for the distribution of Farmers’ Insurance Cards to the farmers.It was disclosed by Mr. Rahul Tiwari, Secretary, Information and Public Relations while chairing a high level meeting of the Deputy Commissioners, Additional Deputy Commissioners and District Public Relations officers. It was informed that on April 12, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister would launch the campaign for the distribution of Traders' insurance card by visiting Various Grain Markets of the state, likewise on April 21 state level functions would be organized in each district to inaugurate the automated Driving Test Centers to issue driving licenses to the general public in a hassle free manner.
Similarly on April 30, state level functions in each district would be organized to inaugurate the newly constructed Gaushalas, which has been constructed in each district. Mr. Tiwari informed the officers that Cabinet Ministers, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries and Local Leaders would preside over the state level functions to be organized in each district.Mr. Tiwari also issued strict directions to district authorities to complete all the preliminary arrangement for the launch of all these pro people welfare initiatives. He also informed the meeting that the Punjab Government is in the process of hiring 100 LED video vans in order execute consistent awareness campaign in the state to disseminate information about the various citizen centric welfare schemes and big projects completed by the SAD-BJP government in the last 9 years. He said that video vans would move around from mid April to mid December and would cover every nook and corner of the state.
Divulging further details, he said that these LED video vans would also generate information among the masses regarding the rich historical and cultural legacy of the state. These video vans would be equipped with all the modern mass media gadgetry, like LED screens, sound systems, video players, Wifi connectivity and public address system.Besides Ms. Rupanjali Karthik, IAS, Additional Secretary Grievances, Mrs. Senu Duggal, Director, Information and Public Relations, Deputy Commissioners/ Additional Deputy Commissioners and District Public Relations Officers also attended the meeting.
