District Health Society in collaboration with Lions Club organized a 4 day eye camp from March 31st to April 3rd here today.MLA Samba, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal was the chief guest on the occasion while District Development Commissioner Sheetal Nanda was the guest of honour.Under National Programme for Control of Blindness, free treatment, lens, spectacles and stay shall be provided to the patients by the District Health Society while other facilities to the patients would be provided by the Lions Club during the camp.  Dr. Manyal appreciated the efforts of Lions Club in organising the camp. The General Secretary, Lions Club informed the gathering that club has taken up various social causes like plantation of tress, providing mortuary van and organising regular health camps in the district.On the inaugural day of the camp, around 300 patients were examined and 20 were recommended for further treatment.The camp was also attended by Additional SP Samba Raja Aadil Hamid and Medical Superintendent Samba Dr Arun Sharma.
