Union Minister for Food Processing Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that the Aam Aadmi Party has started looting people in the name of dinner policy by first inviting them for food and then asking them to pay for it. She said that this party has started a reverse trend in the land of Punjab where free langar is served to people. While talking to media persons at the sidelines of sangat darshan program, Mrs Badal said that people of Punjab are vigilant enough not be carried away by such party.Answering a media query she said that the Congress has been decimated from the states of Arunachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand and very soon the Punjab Congress too will meet the same fate. She said that the factionalism in Congress will lead to its ultimate downfall in Punjab. She said that by pressurizing its high command Captain Amarinder Singh has taken the president-ship of state Congress, which the Congress workers have started rejecting.
Addressing the people Mrs Badal said that under Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal, the SAD-BJP government has increased state’s annual income to Rs 30000 cr which was mere Rs 5000 cr per annum during Congress regime. She said that during Congress regime from 2002 to 2007 only Rs 22000 cr were spent on developmental works which stands at mammoth Rs 1, 28, 637 cr during SAD-BJP government from 2007 to 2015.Speaking on the Satluj Yamuna Link she said that the Chief Minister Mr Prakash Singh Badal delivered a historical landmark by annulling the project in vidhan sabha. She said that Punjab does not have even a drop of water to spare for someone else.Accusing AAP leader Kejriwal for opting dual policy on SYL issue, Mrs. Badal said that AAP Chief once again betrayed people by changing his stand on the issue as per his political interests. She said that AAP was never more than a B-team of Congress as its leaders never took any strong action against corrupt Congress leaders of Delhi. She said that AAP spends Rs. 528 Crore annually on publicity instead of investing this hard earned money to provide homes to homeless. She said that AAP has its no base in Punjab thus it will soon meet its end as PPP did.
Earlier in morning, taking a unique initiative she inaugurated sanitary napkin vending machine at The Government Senior Secondary School (girls) Mall Road today. 20 such machines will be installed at various educational institutes of district. She added that the girls are hesitant while buying sanitary napkins from shops. These machines will help by providing them sanitary napkins right in their educational institutions without any hesitation.She conduct sangat darshan in villages of Sema, Bhucho Kalan, Lehra Bega, Lehra Mohabbat etc and inaugurated the newly constructed water supply project at village Lehra Mohabbat .MLA Mr Darshan Singh Kotfatta, DC Dr Basant Garg, OSD to deputy CM Mr Mohnish Kumar and Mr Harinder Singh Sra, SSP Mr Swapan Sharma, ADC (D) Mrs Shena Aggarwal, SDM Bathinda Mr Anmol Singh Dhaliwal, SAD press secy Mr Om Prakash Sharma and others were also present.
