Addressing a day long convention of Congress Party Workers of Dooru, today, JKPCC Chief G.A. Mir has expressed serious concern over the problems confronting people. Developmental works have come to standstill, roads are in dilapidated conditions, people are suffering in absence of ration, non availability electricity and rising unemployment have added miseries to the people, he said.PCC Chief told the convention that Congress party has always been committed for equitable development of the regions and never indulged in any kind of discrimination. We want that every region and section of the State to develop and proper equally, he (G.A. Mir) reiterated Congress Party’s resolve to serve and strengthen people.Reiterating Congress Party’s resolve to fight against discrimination against any region, PCC Chief urged the Party Cadres to remain steadfast in service of the people, for the fact, Congress Party is an instrument of service and it (Congress) would continue to serve them (people) to the best of it’s ability.
Referring to the local issues of Dooru, G.A. Mir expressed anguish over the worst condition of Anantnag-Dooru –Verinag road which is being considered a lifeline, connecting Dooru with the District (Anantnag) and urged upon the Governor Administration to take immediate measure for construction of this road, on priority basis, as the construction of this road will prove to be a milestone in the Development of the Dooru Constituency and people and a big source of respite to the people.Urging the Governor Administration to resolve the issues confronting people of Dooru and elsewhere, G.A. Mir said that people of Dooru have been neglected by previous PDP BJP Coalition, merely on political lines, but Congress Party would continue to fight for resolution of the problems people are facing, across the State.Taking a dig at PDP and BJP Coalition, PCC Chief cautioned the people about the double standards of both the Parties, both are misleading people in order to meet their political ends, just for the sake of power. He said the recent meeting between Prime Minister Narinder Modi and PDP President after enacting different stories for 2 ½ months, was another move to betray people again on the so called agenda of alliance by PDP BJP Coalition, he said.
