Ashmah International School Sector-70  organised a seminar to conserve electricity and urge the students to observe the Earth Hour, by switching off the lights on earth hour from 08:30 pm to 09:30 pm. The significance of celebrating this   event is important  as climate change is the biggest environmental threat for our planet and we need to act fast against climate change.Director of the School J.S.Kesar said at the moment that we should be concerned to save our environment.  It is high time to save the earth otherwise coming generation will have to face dire consequences. He further added that the main aim of organizing this seminar was to make the students aware about the hazards of pollution. He further encouraged students to switch off the light and electrical equipment for an hour to allow Mother Nature to have a much needed hour-long break and can take rest .He further underscored the importance of abstaining from electrical consumption to help preserve and protect the environment.
