District Development Commissioner Bashir Ahmed Dar today inaugurated the second annual multi-lingual “Mushaira”, organized by Bazm-E-Adab, Ramban under the stewardship of its district patron, Prof. S A Ganai here at Government Degree College (GDC).As many as 11 poets from different parts of the Ramban district participated in the mushaira and recited their poetic works mainly in Urdu.The DC lauded the effort of Bazm-E-Adab and college management for regularly organizing the Mushaira, thereby exploring the hidden literary talent among people of the district. He said that such literary programmes would go a long way in honing the literary skills and encouraging the talented artists besides creating a right atmosphere.He announced that the district administration would soon organize a grand Mushaira in collaboration with J&K Academy of Arts, Culture and Languages (JKAACL). He also assured to recommend for the establishment of a Cultural Section in the District Information Centre and a Sub-Office of (JKAACL) in Ramban district. Principal, GDC, Dr. (Prof.) Yudhvir Singh, SDM Ramsu Ravi Thakur, DFO Social Forestry Ashok Kalsi and Maj. Jasbir Singh were also present on the occasion.Babar Ali Sohil, MB Mehtab, Raj Kishore Shaan, Bahar Ahmed Bahar, Mohd. Iqbal Pogli, Abdul Lateef Bulbul, Prof.SA Ganai, Aftab Goolvi, Mohd. Yousuf Arif, Yousuf Mohd. Yousuf besides local journalists R.K. Kichlu of Prasar Bharti and Khem Raj Sahil of The Hind Samachar were among the prominent participants.
