Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal today said that Rahul Gandhi, who is out to defame Punjab by branding its youth has drug addicts, is the biggest enemy of the state and he has given proof of his being anti-Punjab and anti-Sikh through such ideology. Deputy Chief Minister further said that if congress scion really believes about presence of drugs in Punjab then he would do very well to conduct dope tests on youth congress leaders and if anybody among them tests positive then it will be construed as the presence of drugs in Punjab.Interacting with mediapersons at information center after paying obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib along with his wife Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, he disclosed that Punjab has touched heights of prosperity during SAD-BJP regime besides getting numerous awards on national level but still congress and leaders of other opposition parties are maligning fair name of Punjab by spreading white lies which is in very bad taste. He further questioned that how can a community like Punjabis known for its bravery and feeding whole nation be branded as drug addict ?
Attacking congress, S. Badal divulged that the truth has come out with the registration of a case against PPCC chief Captain Amarinder Singh’s son Raninder Singh that captain family has accounts in foreign banks besides assets. Reiterating his standing on SYL canal issue, Deputy Chief Minister said that there never was a need for this canal nor would it allowed to be constructed even if sacrifices had to be made.Commenting upon congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) making a beeline for the deras, S. Badal said that every party follows its own perception regarding elections. He said that the biggest plank of Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal and mine is development for which is working very hard day and night and starts every work with blessings of Akalpurkh.
The Deputy Chief Minister also said that SAD is a party of the masses and S. Parkash Singh Badal is the only Chief Minister who attends to people’s problems from morning till midnight with SAD workers and leaders also making it a point to keep in connect with masses always. He also said that SAD is ready for polls always.On this occasion, after paying obeisance at Sri Durbar Sahib, Deputy Chief Minister took stock of the development projects in the holy city. Going minutely into the details of projects for e.g.—Town Hall, Beautification of area around Harmandir Sahib, BRTS, city entry gate, he also issued necessary instructions to the concerned officers to accomplish the projects well in time. He disclosed that the look of holy city would be beautifully changed after the completion of ongoing projects.On the occasion, DC Varun Roojam, Commissioner of Police Jatinder Singh Aulakh, Akali leaders Gurpartap Singh Tikka, Navdeep Singh Goldy, Ajaibir Pal Singh Randhawa, Rajinder Singh Marwaha and others were also present.
