Mr. S. K. Mishra took over the charge of Special DG (Coordination) at Police Headquarters (PHQ) here today.Mr. Mishra, a 1985 batch IPS officer, has served the State in various capacities including SDPO R S Pura, Ramban, Uri, ASP Kathua, CID Headquarters, SP Kupwara, SP CID CI Jammu, SSP Srinagar, Director Telecom, DIG Jammu, DIG Doda-Udhampur Range, IGP Vigilance, IGP HRC. During his central deputation, he has served in CRPF as DIG and IG BSF in North East States and headed the Intelligence Wings of BSF. Before joining as Special DG he was posted as DG Prisons Department.Mr. Mishra, during his service has been awarded prestigious President’s Police Medal for distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service.Later, Mr. Mishra interacted with the officers and other staff members at PHQ and discussed different official matters.
