Senior National Conference Leader and Member of Legislative Council Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri Tuesday lashed out at People’s Democratic Party for contradicting its promises with deeds which state witnessed in 10 months PDP-BJP rule.In an issued statement to KNS, Dr Veeri accused PDP President of deceiving general public by raising slogan ‘Peace with dignity’ as the party had already sold the dignity of the state by joining hands with BJP and RSS-communal forces.“After the demise of Mufti Mohd Sayeed Shab, Mehbooba Mufti is again out in the market to deceive innocent Kashmiris by demanding role in peace building and economic development of the state,” Veeri said, adding Mehbooba Mufti’s recent political comments at Dak Bungalow Khanbal has raised doubts in general public and every citizen of this land wants to know on which terms and conditions late Mufti Shab joined hands with RSS for throne.
He said that PDP-BJP combine failed to rehabilitate flood sufferers despite hoax claims. “During election campaign, PDP promised full rehabilitation of 2014-flood victims but still sufferers are waiting for government help which clearly proves their failure,” he added.PDP-BJP combine also failed to deliver on the promises they made including employment to unemployed youth and development of the state as no fresh major project stands commenced. Veeri said that PDP failed to bring back power projects and in fact couldn’t shield the special status, dignity and identical identity of Kashmir when communal forces in their 10 months rule made unsuccessful attempts to disgrace identity of Kashmir and flag in particular.Dr Veeri said that in their rule state witnessed communal tension and unrest and late Mufti Shab’s wrong decision took the life a dirver-Zahid Ahmad of Batengoo Islamabad- when PDP-BJP-RSS combine tried to enforce Beef ban in the state.
He said that during ten months rule, teacher community particaulry ReT’s who played a vital role in bringing out poor children to schools in far off areas of the state, were humiliated on every day. “Humiliating teacher community in ten months rule of PDP-BJP is their big achievement which has hit back the system and will need years to get back on the track,” he pointed out.Dr Veeri termed imposition of Food Act (NFSA) in state as black law and said that our government every time opposed the act, however PDP-BJP combine not only ensured its implementation but is taking credit for the same which is equal to rubbing salt on injuries.He asked Mehbooba Mufti not to indulge in political rhetoric and stop deceiving general public as your deeds contradict your promises and slogans and party stands exposed before the people of Jammu and Kashmir.Veeri advised Mehbooba Mufti to seek forgiveness and apologies from the public for betraying them as her father sought votes from public to stop communal forces from making inroads in the state but later he joined hands with them for the sake of chair.
