CM Gives Approval For Appointing 10 Chairpersons Of Various Boards And Corporations Of The State

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today gave his nod to appoint 10 Chairpersons of various Boards and Corporations of the state government. Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister's Office said that the file pertaining to the appointment of these chairpersons was cleared by the Chief Minister this morning. As per the orders, former Minister Mr. Avtar Singh Brar has been appointed as the Chairman of Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC), MLA Moga Mr. Joginder Pal Jain has been appointed the Chairman of Punjab State Warehousing Corporation, SGPC Member Jathedar Dyaal Singh Kolianwali has been appointed the Chairman of Punjab Agro Food Grains Corporation, former MLA Mr. Parkash Singh Bhatti has been appointed Chairman of Punjab SC Land Development and Finance Corporation whereas Youth Akali leader Mr. Ravikiran Singh Kahlon has been appointed Chairman of Punjab Water Resources Management and Development Corporation.Likewise, another Youth Akali leader Mr. Barjinder Singh Brar has been appointed the Chairman of Punjab Health Systems Corporation, senior Akali leader Mr. Avtar Singh Hit has been appointed the Chairman of Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation, Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Aulakh has been appointed Chairman of PUNSEED, Mr. Vijay Danav has been appointed the Chairman of Dalit Vikas Board whereas Mr. Raj Kumar Atikaaye has been appointed the Chairman of Safai Karamchari Welfare Board. Similarly, Mr. Gurbachan Singh Bachi has been appointed as Member of Board of Directors of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL). Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has also accepted the resignation of Chairman of District Planning Committee SAS Nagar Mr. Harbhajan Mann, who had resigned from his post on December 18, 2013. The formal orders regarding these appointments would be issued soon, added the spokesperson.
