One person was killed after a TATA Sumo vehicle skidded off the road and fell into gorge on Thathri-Kilhotran road near Babmoo in Thathri, yesterday late night.Tata Sumo bearing registration number JKO6-4724 on its way from Gandoh to Thathri, met with an accident at Babmoo, 10 km away from the headquarters Gandoh at 9PM last evening. The vehicle skidded off the road and fell in at-least 500 meter deep gorge at Babmoo.One person died in the spot while others were injured. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Ishaq, 30, son of Kota Kharangal, BMO Gandoh along with medical team rushed to the spot.
Meanwhile Senior Congress leader and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori have expressed grief over the loss of precious human lives in a road accident on Doda-Bhadarwah road today.Saroori expressed his sympathy with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal, peace to the departed souls. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of all those injured in this accident and hoped that the State Police and Traffic Departments would take emergent steps to ensure against the recurrence of serious accidents in the vulnerable segments of the roads where mishaps continue to take place.
