Chandigarh Group of Colleges Jhanjeri organized a Blood Donation Camp in the college in association with Blood Transfusion Society of PGI, Chandigarh in the direction of serving the society. The Camp was inaugurated by Brigadier Ashok Kumar (Group Commander Patiala), Col. R.S Guleria (Commader Officer, 23 PB). A huge response was received from the staff members & the students of the college. Among the Faculty members, Dr.Kishore Kulkarni , Head Mech.Engg donated blood nineteenth time whereas his father has donated blood 51 times.
Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC complimented the staff and the students for this noble social cause. He appreciated the enthusiasm among the students who donated the blood. He further said that if we could motivate people, they will also come forward to donate blood. It is create awareness among the masses that by donating blood we do not lose anything but through this noble act, they could potentially save precious lives of some one.Blood donors were served snacks before and after the blood donation by the Institution.
