Gain Jyoti Institutes of Management & Technology Phase-2 conducted an Investor awareness seminar on Financial Services and Portfolio Management with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Keynote speaker at the moment was Harbinder Singh Sokhi, Manager, Bombay Stock Exchange. He gave information about investments and pertinent factors to be considered while deciding about investments and precautionary measures that should be strictly observed by investors.While speaking about stock exchanges, he gave a vivid account about stock exchanges, kinds of stock market, members dealing in the stock market, career opportunities in stock exchange, the current stock exchange trends in our country and comparison with other foreign stock markets. Elaborating about the various concepts related to shares and stock exchanges, he also gave a detailed account about settlement cycle in stock exchange and such other issues relating to stock markets. He encouraged students to become successful investors by investing wisely to yield better returns. He also clarifies queries and doubts of young minds at the end.Chairman J.S.Bedi said that such investor education programs would be very useful to guide youngsters. Nowadays multiple options and numerous opportunities are available in stock markets and financial markets.
