Vigilance Bureau has nabbed a lineman of P.S.P.C.L while accepting bribe of Rs.20, 000 and various raids have also been undertaken to catch Senior Divisional Officer.An official spokesman of Vigilance Bureau said according to the complainant,  lieutenant Harmail Singh Grewal  s/o Late Bhag Singh resident of Partap  Nagar, Patiala  has purchased land of 5 acre on equal share with  his wife  in Village Jaggo Chanarthal of  District Fatehgarh Sahib where already horticultural motor connection was  installed and Electricity department   had asked  him  to cut off this connection and apply for  new agricultural connection   for the land.The spokesman said that the complainant Harmail Singh got the new connection through Ex-Army quota   while seeking approval he deposited amount of Rs. 90,693 (Government Fee).  

When he went to the office of   S.D.O Ram Singh of circle Reeth Kherhi( Faggan Majra) for installation of agricultural connection then he (S.D.O )said that if you would have come with the reference of  lineman Harpal Singh, he would not have faced any difficulty  in getting the  connection. After that   lineman Harpal Singh said that new bore well connection has incurred Rs. 1,25,000 besides he suggested that Rs 30,000-35,000 was to be given as  bribe to save extra spending of money. The final deal was stuck at Rs.20,000. The spokesman said trap was laid by the Vigilance Bureau to nab the  lineman Harpal Singh who was caught accepting bribe of Rs. 20,000 on the spot whereas raids have been  undertaken by Vigilance Bureau  to catch S.D.O. Ram Singh.
