Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) president and MLA Khansahib Hakim Mohammad Yasin on Monday ruled that Kashmiris were being targeted outside the state and cases were being framed against them.Referring to Jawahar Lal Nehru (JNU) row, Hakim Yasin in a statement to KNS said, “Whether students or intellectuals, cases are being framed against Kashmiris which is wrong. It will increase alienation of Kashmiris further.”“On one hand central government say there is need for further confidence building measures (CBMs) while on the other cases are being filed against Kashmiris living outside,” he rued. The MLA Khansahib demanded security to all the students studying outside the state and urged the Center to take steps to instill confidence among Kashmiri population living outside. The PDF chief also criticized the PDP and BJP for playing delay-dally tactic in forming new government.“When Center has categorically said it won’t return power projects to state, won’t revoke AFSPA what is left before PDP? Now either PDP should form the government or allow new elections to happen and not keep people in dark further,” Hakim Yasin said.“Though Governor N N Vohra sahib has been making tireless efforts to provide succor to people, governor rule can never be substitute to democratically elected government.People had voted in huge numbers in 2014 to elect the government. But unfortunately they are suffering because of petty politics of some political parties,” he added. (KNS)
