The Punjab Government will celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of Jain Acharya Sri Tulsi Ji the ninth head of Swetamber Terapanth order in the month of February 2014.A decision to this effect was taken by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal during a meeting with Muni Vinay Kumar Alok, who called on Badal at Chief Minister’s residence this afternoon along with Muni Abhay Kumar. Badal assured Muni Vinay Kumar that to perpetuate the legacy of the great social reformer Acharya Sri Tulsi ji Maharaj, who had dedicated his entire life for the welfare of the society, a state level function would be organized on February19 at Chandigarh. Mr. Badal also directed his Principal Secretary to make necessary arrangements in consultation with the representatives of Jain community deputed by Muni Vinay ji for the purpose.
